The Compass Centre blog of the week - World Book Day

Happy Friday everyone – we hope you all had an amazing week!

This week in the Compass Centre all our learners have enjoyed accessing a range of activities based around World Book Day. Some of our pupils and staff dressed up as their favourite book character on Thursday to celebrate World Book Day – some characters included Tinker Bell, Superman and Minions. To explore different books, some of our learners took part in a jungle themed sensory story, which included feeling different textures, smelling different smells and listening to different noises, which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Other learning experiences included accessing the school assembly and workshop and working well alongside their peers in different book related activities. Some of our learners also enjoyed looking at different books in the library and learning about a variety of topics that come of interest to them.

Well done Compass Centre – you have all worked very well!
