It has been such a busy half term in Maple Class, that we have not managed to blog.  Sorry!

This week we will update you on a couple of the lessons we have had this half term.

In Literacy we have been reading the story of “The Snail and the Whale”.  This is about a snail that travels to different places on the tail of a whale and at the end it helps the whale out of difficulty.  To finish this we have made some crispy cake black rocks and put sweet snails on.  Some of us used chocolate and pears to make our own whales.

In History this half term we have learnt about the Anglo-Saxons.  After learning about them we made shields in designs that they might have had.  We also became archaeologists and enjoyed digging in sand for treasure from that period.

We hope you have a good half term and that the children have a well earned rest.
