We had a very busy week in Bay Tree Class.  There were lots of special events on throughout the week.

On Tuesday it was pancake day.  We found out what it was about and then had fun trying to toss the pancakes.  Members of school staff who came in also joined in on the action.  The best part was tasting the pancakes and the different toppings at the end and this was a hit with everyone.

On Thursday it was World Book Day.  We came to school in our pyjamas or dressed as a book character.  Throughout the day we took part in lots of different activities relating to books including listening to different stories, designing bookmarks, colouring pictures from books and creating our own book cover.  To end the day we all went to the hall to snuggle up and listen to a bed time story.  A wonderful relaxing end to the day.

On Friday there were 2 event on.  Some of the class went to Old Holly Farm to look at and find out about the different animals.  Photos of this will follow when the rest of the class go in a few weeks.  It was a good day and the weather was not too bad.

Those children left in class had a special visit from Tallulah the therapy dog.  She came into class and we took turns to stroke her and find out what she needs as the end to our Citizenship work on animals around us.

Lets hope the weather improves over the next few weeks as we love going outside.
