Happy weekend Maple Class parents!

We hope you’ve had another lovely week. Maple Tree Class have yet again been doing lots of things this week. Our main focus has been Geography in the afternoons and we have continued with our Phonics, Literacy, Numeracy as well as our different sensory inputs.

In preparation for our Zoo trip next week (thanks for the money everyone!) we have been reading our story, ‘The View in the Zoo’. We have loved practicing signing the story and making different signs and actions for the different animals as well as trying to work out whether it is actually the animals watching us!

Our Geography this week has been, ‘Around the World’. We have talked about the 7 different continents and the climates of different places around the world. We all talked about our favourite weather. Some of us really liked the snow and the staff all liked it being hot and sunny! We had a chance to make our own globes using balloons and explore lots of different role play things for different weather. We really liked using maps on the computer to explore different places around the world that we were interested in.

We have really been enjoying the warm weather again this week. Please continue to send in sun cream and hats as well as a rain jacket in case of changing weather.

Have a great weekend everyone and see you on Monday!
