This week in French we have been learning about Fete des Lumieres which translates to festival of light. The festival of light is a way the French express their gratitude towards Mary, mother of Jesus. The festival is held in Lyon and lasts for four days. There are lots of magnificent lights, even ones that create stories. Lots of people even decorate their homes with lights and put candles outside.

After our PowerPoint and watching amazing videos of the light festival we then created our very own light festival and did lots of exploring. This was a fabulous lesson and all the students enjoyed it thoroughly.
Here are some pictures of our very own light festival-

We have had a great week in Pine Tree and we look forward to hearing your weekend news.
