This week in Elm Tree we have been learning all about an Artist called Frank Bowling. We watched a video on how he created his master pieces and what techniques he used, then thought how we could do it too.

In his abstract artwork he uses lots of bright colours to express his emotions and how he is feeling so we mixed colours and added water to add more texture to our paintings.

Using our hands, sponges and paint brushes we chose our favourite colours and explored what patterns we could make.

It’s a lot trickier than it looks!

After we talked about how each colour can change our mood and make us feel different emotions. The dark colours made us feel sad and the bright colours made us feel happy!

Hope you have a lovely weekend.
