We had a lovely end to the half term with our “in school” educational visit! We started the day with a very civilised breakfast, a wonderful opportunity for the students to interact with their peers and enjoy their company. We then had a visit from the Wriggly Roadshow which was amazing! We met a range of creatures from snakes to bald rats. The students loved it and the staff had mixed views and some weren’t quite so brave (Alex!) However the staff were all blown away when some of our students were able to apply their animal knowledge they had been learning from our science topic; which was fantastic!

We then had our KFC lunch and luckily the weather was great so we ate it in the adventure playground after we had a little play on the equipment! We celebrated in style in the afternoon which fit in perfectly as it was Olivia’s birthday! The students enjoyed birthday cake and pass the parcel and a huge thanks to our in-class DJ Bobby who got the party started with his amazing songs and DJ skills.

It has been a lovely half term and we have done so much. A huge well done to all the students in Elm for all their achievements over the half term and keep going; you’re all superstars!

Enjoy the break, stay safe & have big fun,

All the staff in Elm Tree Class
