This week in Pine Tree we have been doing some coding in Computing. To start the lesson off Craig had planned a special activity. We had a puzzle to complete! Craig had put numerous obstacles around the table and a special treat at the end. One pupil completed the obstacle course while the other children helped direct them. There was climbing, jumping, hoping, turning and leaping. At the end of the obstacle course was a special treat of golden syrup sponge cake. Yummy!
Everyone divided into groups and worked on different technology objects which needed to be programmed to move. There was scalextrics, robots, Be-bots, Be-bot IPad apps and a switch activated sensory area.
In the sensory area we had switch activated toys, lights and speakers that only work when the pupil applies pressure to the switch.
The weather has been lovely this week, don’t forget to pack some sun cream and hats in your child’s bag so they can enjoy all the outside activities!
Here are some pictures of our computing session-
