In Seedlings class this week we have enjoyed further learning about snow! It has probably been one of our favourite types of weather to explore in the continuous provision play! We have been developing our mark making skills through using our hands and fingers to make our own snowflake prints and snowmen. Some of us worked really hard to develop our grasping skills through holding onto the paintbrush for longer periods of time.
In numeracy this half term we have been learning about ‘big and small’ and ‘full and empty’ and have been exploring different sized jungle animals stuck in the messy play! We have all worked hard to practice filling and emptying different containers in our own ways!
For the rest of the week and then next week too we are beginning to learn about Halloween. The classroom has been transformed with lots of Halloween themed learning activities on offer for our children to explore. We can’t wait to dress up and explore all the spooky toys and sensory messy play we have planned! We are also looking forward to what sensory prop you might send in for our Halloween themed Peppa Pig story which is the homework task this week, explained further in the homework diary!
We are looking forward to seeing some of you at parents evening next week, if you haven’t replied yet and would like an appointment please let us know as soon as possible, thank you!
Thanks for reading!
