Wow wow wow !! What a busy week we have had in Maple Class this week. On Tuesday we had a lovely visit from some new friends from St. Peter’s School in Lytham. We enjoyed the super story ‘Monsters love underpants’  in our sensory room and explored some funky props. We also had some activities set up in the classroom too. There was monster cake decorating, monster designing and junk modelling so that we could create our own cool monsters. In the afternoon it was our turn to go and visit our new friends at their school. So off we went on the bus and when we got there they had planned some fantastic drama and music activities for us to take part in. We split into groups again and did some acting out of different scenarios with our new friends and we also got to play some instruments too. What a fantastic day we had!

In D.T. we have been looking at recycling and reusing materials. We made a few different exciting things over the week. We really enjoyed getting messy when recycling some old DVDs and CD’s so that we could make our own mobiles and decorated these with glitters and sequins.

On Friday morning we held our class assembly. I’m sure you will all agree the children were absolutely fantastic at sharing our Literacy story of ‘The Enormous Turnip’. We especially liked sharing our actions we had been learning with everyone in assembly. Some of our pupils were even brave enough to get up and share their own enormous stories with the rest of the school and the mum’s, dad’s and grandparent’s. We also had to share the vegetable song we had been singing in class as we all love the song so much!

After such a busy week we finished Friday afternoon off with some Zumba, playing some nurture games and of course, the foot spas!
