Welcome back! We all enjoyed listening to everyone’s half term news. Some had been to Center Parcs on holiday, enjoyed walks and trips to the parks and eating yummy ice cream.

This week in Pine Tree we have been settling back into our school routine. We have been making some fabulous airplanes out of paper for our science day on Friday which will be super exciting. There is a competition to see who’s plane can fly the furthest!

For geography this week we have been looking at Scotland! We started our session with an exciting story about a trip to Scotland and then we tried different Scottish foods such as –

  • Short bread
  • Irn Bru
  • Porridge
  • Oat cakes

We also listened to bagpipe sounds, felt the cold windy Scottish weather and felt the snow that lands on the high mountains. After exploring Scotland we made our very own short bread biscuits. We all followed a set of instructions, weighed all our ingredients and mixed it all up. The biscuits cooked and we all got to try some for afternoon snack, delicious!
