Pancake Day came early to Maple Class this week.  Although it is not officially pancake day until next week we decided to celebrate it early.  We held it on Tuesday this week as there are lots of celebrations to fit in before we break up for half term.  We learnt what pancake day is about and why we celebrate it.  We then practiced our independence skills by choosing what we wanted on our pancakes and putting it together.  Spreading the chocolate sauce was tricky but we did it and then added lots of yummy treats.  The best part of the lesson was getting to eat what we had made.

By the time we break up for half term we will have also learnt about Chinese New Year and Valentines Day.

We hope you all have a safe and happy half term.
