What a fantastic Pirate and Princess week.

All the children have had another fantastic week in Seedlings. This week we have had an under the sea tent to explore, the children loved exploring inside and finding sea creatures along their way. We had so much fun exploring the pirate stuff tray with sand, water and a real pirate ship with scary pirate’s on-board, it was so much fun!!!

The children have created some lovely arts and crafts again this week such as pirate treasure maps. The children enjoyed painting there maps with cold coffee and tea bags to make our maps look really old and enable them to use there senses to smell and mark make to create their maps. We have also made some beautiful Princess wands which was very popular with our very own princess’s in class.

Our sensory story is still very popular with the children and they really enjoy exploring the props with this. The children think It’s very funny when we catch the naughty pirate and shout for help with the silly voice microphone. We also enjoyed making princess themed cupcakes, we got very messy baking but it was so much fun!

We have had lots of fun outside again too exploring the princess house and Pirate Sand Tray. Under the sea creatures were also found outside in the water tray which the children enjoyed exploring as well as emptying and filling with the water.

In R.E. we have enjoyed celebrating Diwali and exploring lots of sweet themed messy play, painting pictures, dressing up and reading stories about how it is celebrated.

Wow what a busy week.

See you all again for more Pirate and Princess fun.

Love from
