Happy New Year and we hope you all enjoyed the Christmas holidays and have had a wonderful break!
This week we have further embedded our festive themed learning now that the children have experienced Christmas! We have been exploring the role play ‘Post Office’ and making sure we send out the parcels, letters and cards to wish people a ‘Happy New Year.’
We will be looking at ‘People Who Help Us’ this half term and next week our topic will be firefighters!
We will be embedding this through our Literacy sensory story of ‘The Hat Party’ where we look at who might wear which hat and how they can help us. In Numeracy we are learning about shapes and looking at ‘The Jolly Postman’ who posts different shaped letters to different people. In Religious Education we are learning all about our families and the topic of love, we look forward to seeing some of your family photos you might share with us for the homework task this week. In Phonics we are reading a story all about ‘Noisy Nancy’ and the noises she might make during her school day, this is lots of fun! During our music lessons the instruments we will be playing this half term are drums and keyboards as we go on a colourful journey around the world. It’s very magical!
Have a great weekend!
