This week in Pine Tree class in our Science lessons we have been focusing on the topic ‘sound and hearing’. We have enjoyed playing a range of musical instruments and listening to the different sounds and identifying whether the sounds are ‘quiet or loud’. We played a sound game, closing our eyes and using our ears to guess the sounds we could hear within our classroom. Another group used sound switches choosing which sounds they liked or disliked. Later in the week we enjoyed going into the local community for a sound walk. We all had a communication board with lots of pictures on that we had to tick once we identified the sounds we heard. To finish off the week the students took part in a junk modelling activity involving making their own instruments, and then came together to play these along to some music.

Have a fantastic weekend and we look forward to lots more enjoyable learning activities next week.

Love everyone in Pine Tree class 🙂
