This week’s focus for our Pine Tree class blog is Numeracy which we have fully embraced both in class and via remote learning. As a class we have been looking at time, and developing our skills and knowledge about time and how to tell the time to the hour (o’clock) and half past as our key learning aspects, along with sequencing lessons and key routines from the day, making reference to our morning, afternoon and evening familiar routines. We have had fun in class looking at different items that allow us to tell the time and where we can find these. Lots of fantastic learning has happened, accompanied with enthusiasm and effort from all the students during this topic.

This week we are also celebrating World Book Day, students and staff have been encouraged to dress up and explore their favourite stories with the rest of the class. As part of World Book Day we will be participating in an Lower School live story share of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ via zoom with Craig, Lauren and Will, which we hope you will all enjoy. We will continue to develop and write our poems in Literacy, finishing the day with a Lower School World Book Day quiz via zoom, hosted by Lindsey our Seedlings class teacher.

Continue the fantastic work Pine Tree and we will see you again next week with a more ‘familiar’ and regular feel to school with more students joining us back in the classroom.

Have a lovely weekend and take care 🙂
