On Tuesday Caleb came for a visit in the morning, he is our new pupil from September. He went out on the bikes, he’s done sensory circuits, met some of the staff and students and enjoyed his morning.
Tasha was preparing Jack Lee’s symbols and work to take with him to Autism Initiative. He has been attending his new school in Bispham, several days a week and seems to be enjoying it.
Jack W asked Anne what she has been doing this week, she says she has been very busy doing transition work and organising the school disco.
The school disco is on Thursday at Ribby Hall Village, Daniel is going and very excited, he says there is hotpot and chips, music and dancing and plenty to drink. There are a lot of students and staff going from both Pear Tree and the Compass Centre. Jack would like to wish you all a fantastic end of school party/disco.
Wednesday was the Sixth Form Summer Fair in the hall and outside area. The area was displayed with lots of brightly coloured flags and there were a lot of stalls to buy things and win things. It was great. Well done to all the students and staff for putting on such a great event, really enjoyed by all.
Jack W has his final work placement this week, which he has loved doing and would like to work in a shop in a future setting.
Daniel had some visitors from Larkholme who enjoyed spending the morning with him and seeing his work and talking about what activities and work he enjoys doing at the Compass Centre.
Wishing you all a good week. Final week next week before the summer holidays and final week for some of our leavers.
