Happy Friday everyone! We hope you have had a fantastic week ? 

 

This week in the Compass Centre we have been focusing on our regular sessions as well as being introduced to new activities!

 

Our sensory learners have been working hard by showing amazing interaction and communication skills in their routined active numeracy; swimming; sensory circuits and sensory massage sessions. In addition, some of our pupils have had the chance to attend a new and continious climbing frame circuit set out in the hall on a Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday morning. This circuit has ensured that the learners who participate in it, can interact in a physical activity before their other sensory lessons commence, in order to be ready for the day! We have noticed a positive outcome with this physical session. 

 

As well as our sensory learners, our functional pupils have also participated in various activities mention above. Our functional students have also been working hard in their latest project work; contributing their ideas related to what may be added to the new 'Wesham Side Story' play; and becoming inspired by our former learner Danny Mitchells' new book. Furthermore, our pupils have also contributed well in their Your Gym sessions, working alongside their Sixth Form peers and becoming confident in trying out different physical movements.
