Bay Tree: Easter Week
Date: 3rd Apr 2025 @ 3:31pm
This week in Bay Tree, we have been focusing on our history by exploring both old and new houses. We even looked at photos of houses from different periods, and some children could identify key features of the houses.
In Phonics, the children practiced identifying letter sounds and putting them together to form words. Through fun activities like games and songs, the children were able to engage with Phonics in an interactive way; they all particularly enjoyed the animal phonics song.
For our DT lesson we focused on Easter crafts; the children had a wonderful time creating colourful Easter-themed decorations. They used various materials such as scissors, paper, glue, and markers to design their own unique crafts. The children were so engaged making their Easter wreaths, Easter eggs and bunnies which added a festive spirit to the classroom. In RE we learned about the Easter story and the children enjoyed engaging with the different stimuli linked to the story.
