Elm Tree Class: A exciting first week back!

Hello and welcome back!

We hope you have all had a wonderful half term break and we are so glad to see you all back. We have had a very exciting first week back in Elm Tree, we have been preparing for our Inspiration Day and this half term's topic is Nature.

We enjoyed a nature walk around school where we collected lots of different bits and bobs (flowers, leaves, sticks) and even the sun came out to join us 🌞. After enjoying our walk in the sun we created our own nature pictures using the items we had collected!

In Numeracy we have been introducing our new topic which is 'measuring quantities'. As part of our new topic we had lots of fun measuring how many of each different objects we could fit in one of our hands. Using counters, cubes and toy animals, the colouring pencils were a class favourite with the winner holding 38 in one hand!
