Elm Tree Class Blog 08/03/24

Hi everybody,

Welcome back to the Elm Tree Class blog.  It's has been a busy old week so there are lots of photos to share!

On Thursday it was World Book Day and pupils came dressed as their favourite characters.  It was fantastic to see all the different costumes, the assembly held by craig was loads of fun too.  We were able to go out and use a dressing up box to act as characters from different stories.  In the afernoon there were lots of activities set up in the hall, we loved making smoothies and bookmarks and of course watching Paddington on the big screen was a hit!

We are learning about solids, liquids and gases in science, and this week we were observing what happened in a reaction between water and Alka-Seltzer.  It was fun and a little bit scary to watch the balloon inflate with the gas given off.  Luckily, it didn't explode this time!

We also dresseed up in purple today to celebrate International Women's Day.
