Elm Tree Class: A fantastic week!

The class have been so busy this week! We are reading the story of Sherpa Tenzing in Literacy, doing mountineering activities and learning about Sir Edmund Hillary. The pupils have been recalling facts and doing research. In History we are learning about the Windrush Generation, in particular the singer Mona Baptiste and her journey from the Caribbean to England, France, Germany and Ireland. Our Maths topic is counting and we have been doing lots of practical activities. Two pupils have been travel training to Wigan and Preston and had a great time!

In Music we composed our own pieces by playing different notes on the keyboard and in R.E. we dressed up in Hindu clothes.
