Oak Tree Class: Pop Music!

What an exciting week we have had in Oak Tree class, with lots of learning taking place.

This half term in music, we are learning all about pop music. We have had great fun dancing and singing to different songs including Twist and Shout by the Beatles and Mamma Mia by Abba. We have also had the opportunity to learn different beats and begin to play these on musical instruments including the drums and shakers.

We had great fun learning about the story ‘The Koala Who Could’ for our class assembly this Friday. The pupils learnt that trying something new might be a little bit scary but if you are brave you are able to succeed. Following this we created some ambitious goals for the rest of the academic year including developing our communication and being more independent. Unfortunately, the weather this morning had other plans, but the pupils who were in school showed their adaptability and flexibility to overcome the low number and put on a great show!
