Pine Tree Class: People who help us

This week, we have been focusing on PSD and our lesson focus has been 'People who help us'. 

Some of our pupils have been exploring sensory boxes, focusing on the emergency services. The boxes have included items such as pieces of uniform, equipment such as a stethoscope, toy vehicles, light up toys and objects of reference for the people that help us. Some of our other pupils have been learning about the different people that help us and the jobs that they do. These include bus drivers, nurses, taxi drivers and lots more! We also spoke about people that help us at home and at school and how they help. We then did some exciting role play and acted out different scenes such as medical appointments, being firefighters and being part of the police. 

This week we also showed our peers from different classes what we have been learning about in music. We sang a song about conkers, and used Kazoos and tambourines where we played very fast, fast, steady, slow and very slow. It was great seeing what other classes had been getting up to, as well.
