Science in Pine Tree

Another busy and fun week in Pine Tree class. We have introduced our Science topic Solids, Liquids and Gases. We have explored a range of materials and observed the changes that take place. We developed our knowledge and understanding of what happened when we added boiling water to jelly and how it changed from a solid to a liquid then back to a solid. Then tried the opposite with water, freezing it to make a solid then heating to change it into a liquid. We looked at different ways to blow up a balloon, sorted pictures and objects into the different groups and found the most effective way to melt frozen ice blocks to get to items frozen within the block.
