Seedlings: Traditional Tales

This half terms theme is traditional tales. Our continuous provision will consist off exploring with story sacks, flour and rice trays and playdoh linked to traditional tales.

Our song of the term is ‘the Gingerbread Man’ which links to our literacy target which is to 'begin to join in with the actions and sounds in familiar songs.'.

The activities of the week have been linked to our expressive art and design target were the children have been exploring and experimenting with a range of media and sensory exploration. The children have been decorating gingerbread men with tea bags and printing with bricks/sticks linked to the three little pigs tale.

This weeks attention autism has also been linked to the three little pigs traditional tales. In stage 2 Alice blew up three pink balloons and let them go whilst saying 'i'll huff and i'll puff' and in stage 3 the children got to take turns building bricks and knocking them down.
