Happy Friday everyone!

 

We hope you have all had an amazing Christmas break and a great first week back at school ? 

 

This week in the Compass Centre we have been settling back in to our regular routine sessions, as well as trying out new activities in our heavy work lessons.

 

Our sensory learners have enjoyed participating in aerobics, sensory circuits, sensory story, story massage and active mathematics and literacy! Within our heavy work sessions our learners have really engaged in using new equipment that they may not usually use, for example, aiming the bean bags into the bucket, hula-hoops, steps, and playing bowling with their peers.

 

In addition, our functional learners have been hard at work deciding what they may like to learn in the upcoming term. Including, what topics they may be interested to research about and their aims for this research. 

 

All our learners have worked super well and have settled in outstandingly!
