Natural Art

This week we have been focusing on our Art Topic and enjoyed learning all about the artist William Morris. He is best known for his pattern designs which look to nature for their inspiration particularly on fabrics and wallpaper. After looking at some of his art work we used a variety of natural materials to recreate pictures of our favourite William  Morris pieces of art. We made collages using sticks, shells and patterned wallpaper samples and we have used sticks to paint pictures. Our sensory group enjoyed independently exploring twigs, stones, shells etc in a tray of soil, making different patterns.
