Compass Centre - Active mathematics and outdoor team and communication games

This week in the Compass Centre, our learners have thoroughly enjoyed participating in active mathematic and team game sessions. During active maths, all of our pupils engaged positively in taking their turn and acknowledging a variety of different numbers through use of the interactive whiteboard and using the Help Kids Learn website. As displayed in the pictures below, lots of enjoyment was had learning the sequences of numbers up to five. 

In addition to active maths, excellent use of the outdoor space was made during team and communication game activities. Such activities included matching coloured hoops to the correlating coloured cones by throwing and aiming them, swing ball, water play and mark making with chalk. These activities were lots of fun and encouraged socialisation, turn taking and active learning.
