Busy week of celebrating!

What an extremely busy week of learning and activities we have had in Oak Tree class with lots of different exciting events taking place.

The first big event we had this week was World Book Day. This was such a fantastic day starting with Craig putting on a great interactive assembly for the pupils to engage in before moving back to classes to engage in more reading activities. Finally, we had a reading workshop in the hall which included making a delicious fruit smoothies linked to The Very Hungry Caterpillar, exploring and reading a range of different books as well as making our own book marks. We also had some amazing costumes in class including Room on the Broom, Little Red Riding Hood, a farmer and Billionaire Boy as well as class staff dressing up as Cat in the Hat and the Things.  We all had a great day!!

We ended the week all wearing purple to celebrate International Women’s day and have spent the day learning all about why we celebrate this day and have been discussing the important women in our lives.

We also had a great inter-class Boccia match with Elm tree!!
