6th Form - Catering at College
Date: 26th Apr 2023 @ 9:45am
Welcome back everybody!
We have had such a busy few weeks in Sixth Form, with the school production and different vocational activites.
We were thrown right back in at the deep end last week and it was jam packed with different lessons. Some of us begun our work experiences at numerous different local places and have really enjoyed learning something new. Some others have also been going on Horticulture trips, to places such as Dobbies Garden centre and we are beginning a course at Myerscough College - how exciting! We can't wait to see what the rest of this half term has in store for us.
Last half-term, a group of our students began a Catering course at Blackpool College. We have been using skills that we have already learnt within school with Tom. Mark, our catering tutor, picks a different recipe each week. We have made sweet stuff such as brownies, flapjacks, cookies and scones and we have moved on to more savoury stuff such as chicken balti and then this week, enchiladas.
See you next week!
