Channelling our inner Antony Gormley
Date: 17th Nov 2023 @ 3:17pm
Over the past few weeks in art, we have been learning all about the artist and sculptor Antony Gormley. We have been learning about who he is, and researching some of his most famous work which he has created, such as 'Another Place' at Crosby Beach and the 'Angel of the North' in Newcastle.
This week, we have been attempting to recreate some of the sculptures using either clay, playdoh or blocks. The pupils have really enjoyed engaging in this unit and have been able to show fantastic levels of focus, especially when trying to make the sculpture 'Iron Man' out of Jenga.
We are looking forward to making a life size sculpture linked to 'Another Place' in the next couple of weeks.
Have a good weekend,
