Compass Centre blog of the week: All Around the World

Happy Thursday everyone!

We hope you have all had a fantastic week!

We sure have in the Compass Centre 😊 

This week we have been continuing with this terms topic of All Around the World. During active literacy we decorated leaves, sheered alpacas, recognised different colours and used pipettes to squeeze different coloured liquid onto mountain ranges, built our own towers with building blocks and made it snow on top of our decorated standing mountains by carefully dusting flour above them.

Our Attention Autism sessions have also included geography related activities. During stages two of Attention Autism our learners were introduced to different types of flags including: Germany, France, England and Italy. After listening to the word 'hello' being said in different languages, we matched together the correct language with their corresponding flag. Stage three Attention Autism got everybody involved and included taking turns to choose a shade of blue glitter or paper to stick on to a picture of the world, as well as decorating an England flag. Great job everyone 😊
