Compass Centre blog of the week: Fun in Attention Autism 🤩

Happy Thursday everyone,

We hope you are all having a fantastic week 🤩

This week in the Compass Centre, we have continued our focus on learning and recognising people who help us.

We have made the most of the weather outside and got messy with paint, water and other sensory materials. During Attention Autism we were mesmerised by a paint spinner that created a full circle of different colours. After this, we had a go at choosing a vehicle that correlated to people who help us including a police car, a fire truck and an ambulance. We then dipped the wheels in our choice of colour and saw who could push them the furthest along the track! Everyone had a great time 🚒

During maths this week, we used water shooters to wash away our favourite numbers, connected the correct colours to their corresponding coloured basket and read out the different types of emergency vehicles, and used the vehicles to slide down the track to numbers and read them out. Great job everyone 🚓
