Compass Centre blog of the week: Halloween themed attention autism and literacy

Happy first week back after the half term - we hope you had a great break 😊

This week in the Compass Centre we have been continuing with the theme 'Halloween' 🎃 

In literacy, we have been reading a spooky story and looking at different musical instruments that make a variety of sounds. All our learners enjoyed experimenting with the new instruments and producing scary sounds that matched the music. After this, some of our pupils also explored different textured arts and crafts to create and design pumpkin pictures and ghost or skeleton milk bottles 👻 

During Attention Autism, we have been creating sparkly cobwebs and spooky shaving foam ghosts. In addition to creating pumpkin potions 🎃 Everyone had lots of fun and got very creative 🧛
