Compass Centre blog of the week: out in the community

Happy Wednesday everyone!

We hope you are all having an amazing week 😊

This week in the Compass Centre, we have been enjoying our new attention autism topics, recognising peers and on the beach. Our learners have enjoyed engaging in stages one, watching bubbles, flying spinners and balloons, and communicating whether they would like 'more' or 'finished'. As well as independently taking part in stage three, painting and stamping shells on to a beach scene and matching peers to their corresponding pictures. Well done everyone!

Our learners have also been engaging well during their regular community session. Sessions have included trampolining, climbing, walking, and cycling. Lots of intensive interaction, exercise and socialising with peers and staff were had 😊
