Compass Centre blog of the week: spooktacular fun and out in the community
Date: 12th Oct 2023 @ 3:44pm
Happy Thursday everyone,
We hope you have all had a great week!
This week in the Compass Centre, we have been continuing with our routined sessions including active numeracy, literacy, attention autism, bounce and sensory circuits. In attention autism this week, our theme has been Halloween based! Everyone enjoyed the spootacular range of resources and activities, which included the wind up zombie, the bubble pumpkin and the spooky spider. Some of our learners took part in creating flour and shaving foam ghosts, as well as a chance to choose their favourite Halloween creature and add it to the coldren of fun. Everyone enjoyed experiencing the different stages and have become familiar with October, Halloween and the autumn season.
In addition to the classroom based learning and fun, many of our learners regularly experience a range of amazing community opportunities. These experiences include horse riding, climbing, attending the trampoline centre, Wheels For All, and outdoor walking. Each learner thoroughly enjoys their time spent out in the community, enhancing their confidence, communication and physical education skills, as well as many more. Please take a look at our fabulous photos taken this week!
We hope you have a lovely weekend 😊
