Compass Centre: settling in

Date: 13th Sep 2023 @ 3:49pm

Happy Thursday everyone,

We hope you are having a lovely week!

This week in the Compass Centre we have been continuing with our routined sessions including: attention autism, active mathematics and sherbourne.

As shown on the pictures below, all of our learners have throughly enjoyed experimenting a variety of learning resources and experiences. In our attention autism session this week, we have been designing and creating our own art work, which included using fish stencils and paint to create waves and bubbles. Each of our learners had a go at choosing a different colour and making a splat on the piece of paper. Great job guys!

In addition, during active mathematics this week, our learners have been looking at a variety of numbers, shapes and colours. We have enjoyed participating in a variety of interactive maths games, used our scooter boards to get from one end of the room to the other to different numbers and recognising colours and shapes through matching games. During all sessions, each pupil have enhanced crucial skills such as their confidence, socialisation and independence.

Well done everyone, we are so proud of you all :)
