This week in Pine Tree class we have introduced our new Design Technology topic - Wood.

 

We have explored and learnt about different woods, their properties and uses.

 

We have identified items made of wood in and around school, explored toys made of wood and made stickman pictures and wooden picture frames using twigs and different materials to decorate.

 

Some of the students explored the texture of wood outside and used pencil crayons to create pictures by bark rubbing. To finish this week we made wooden bird feeders.
