'Diversity' in Pine Tree Class
Date: 16th Jan 2024 @ 3:44pm
This week in Pine Tree class, we have been continuing to incorporate this half-terms creative curriculum theme - Diversity, by familiarising ourselves with our Literacy story - Pink Is Boys by Robb Pearlman. This story features a diverse group of relatable characters, and encourages girls and boys to enjoy what they love to do, whether it's racing cars and playing baseball, or loving unicorns and dressing up.
During our Numeracy lessons, we have been developing our knowledge and understanding linked to the topic ‘Money’. We have done this through taking part in a range of activities including basic coin exchange games, shop role play, creating coin pictures, matching and sorting activities, and solving basic money addition and subtraction problems.
During our Art lessons, we have learnt about the textile designer and artist William Morris. We have enjoyed opportunities to recreate some of his paintings and designs, whilst also developing our ‘collage’ and ‘printing’ skills.
Have a lovely weekend and wrap up warm. Love everyone in Pine Tree class :-)
