Elm Tree Class

Hi everybody!

Welcome back to the Elm Tree Class blog. This week we have continued to read and answer questions about our story, 'What Makes me a Me?'. We are really enjoying the story and how the boy compares himself to different things and highlights the similarities and differences.

In Art we are learning about Picasso and we will be painting our own self-portraits in the cubist style, but this week we have been experimenting with lines and seeing what happens when we draw different shaped lines in different thicknesses.

We are learning about volcanoes and earthquakes in Geography so for the first lesson we looked at videos of volcanoes erupting and what happens when there is an earthquake.  We also did a Story Massage for Going to the Volcano.

It was Inspiration Day in the hall today and we were able to take part in lots of different activities. Our favourites were building towers with Mega Bloks and soft blocks, designing our own masks and finding out what happened when we shone torches in the black out tent.
