Hi everyone,

And welcome back to the Elm Tree Class blog.  This week we will be sharing what we have learned in computing, PSD and numeracy.

We are learning about Information Technology in computing and his week we have been talking about ICT all around us.  We have been naming familiar pieces of ICT equpment and saying what we can do with them.  The pupils were really good at naming the cash machine, card reader and checkout for some reason, but they struggled naming the escalator and pelican crossing.  Some of the pupils in class were choosing songs on a jukebox to play too, their favourites were Frozen songs (of course!) and The Beatles.

We have read Families, Families, Families by Suzanne and Max Lang in PSD, we looked at photogrpahs of different people in our families and talked about how we help eah other in our families.

In numeracy we are continuing to learn about numbers, number bonds and place value.  All the practise we have been doing over the last 4 weeks has paid off as all the pupils are doing brilliantly at solving number bond sums to 5, 10 and 20.  Some pupils are also using 100 squares to find missing numbers in a sequence.
