Elm Tree Class: Another busy week!
Date: 13th Mar 2025 @ 2:42pm
Hello everyone,
We hope you’ve had a great week.
We been very busy in Elm Tree class as always!
In R.E this week, we have been learning about the 5 pillars of Islam which are: 1. Shahadah 2. Salah 3. Zakat 4. Sawm 5. Hajj.
We have learnt what each one means , Shahadah is the belief that Allah is the only God and Muhammad is his messenger. Salah is the five times of the day that Muslims should pray. Sawm is fasting and Hajj is a pilgrimage for example to Makkah and Mecca.
In Literacy this week; some of our students have been very busy practicing and remembering lines from the characters in ‘Bugsy Malone’ that they have chosen to audition for. We have nearly mastered the New York accent!
Meanwhile, our sensory story “The Three Little Pigs” has also been a favourite especially the part where, despite “huffing and puffing,” the big bad wolf wasn’t able to blow down the house made of bricks. We all found this very amusing 😁
We are all prepared for D.T tomorrow afternoon as we are finally making our own pizzas, after lots of preparing, making our ingredients lists and posters we are all extremely excited to finally make these tomorrow!
Today we have been very lucky as we were invited to Sixth Form to visit their Bistro! The Sixth Form Students served us with cake and milkshakes that they had made themselves. These were so YUMMY 😋
That’s all for now, we hope you all have a lovely weekend and we will see you back on Monday!
Love from Elm Tree Class.
