Hansel and Gretel in Seedlings 1

This week in Seedlings 1 we have been focusing on the story Hansel and Gretel. Our exploration stations set up have consisted of making the witch’s house out of cardboard and coloured fabric, we have had a tuff tray set out with pipettes, syringes and different sized bowls. This has been filled with water and glitter so the children have been able to make their own “witch’s positions”. We have also had a focused themed activity in the afternoon where the children have been able to decorate their own biscuits with icing sugar and sweets.

In phase 2 of our “Attention Autism” sessions we have been making paint rainbows. The children recognised the colour paints and after all the colours had been placed on the paper the teacher rolled it across the paper to reveal a beautiful rainbow over the witches house!
