We hope you have had a fantastic week ? 

 

This week in the Compass Centre we have been continuing to get back into our routined sessions. All our learners have presented a great focus in their lessons and have worked hard to work together, turn take and share. These key skills have been enhanced in opportunities given in our heavy work; sensory story; active mathematics and attention autism sessions. For example, team work has been particularly displayed when setting up and putting away the heavy work equipment; students have shown great confidence in sharing the resources within their sensory story tasks; and have taken turns to complete different activities.

 

In addition to the growing confidence our learners have presented when working collaboratively with each other, some of our functional students have also expressed greater cooperation skills in their enterprise and vocational sessions. New topics such as discussing business ideas for upcoming events including Easter and Mother's Day, and creating a city with our construction knowledge has allowed us to develop our communication. 

 

Great work and lots of fun was had by all in the Compass Centre, well done!
