Seedlings: Identifying key people

Happy Thursday everyone!

Our classroom provision has consisted of trays of messy play ie. Frog spawn tray. This has provided the children with lots of sensory feedback. They have enjoyed getting their hands messy.

This week in seedlings we have been identifying the key people in our lives. When showed a picture, we have been able to identify the key person by pointing. Additionally, we put shaving foam on pictures of familiar staff and got the children to splat the shaving foam.

In attention autism the children have really enjoyed the sensory rain made out of corn flour and water. With the sensory rain, we poured the mixture onto a box lid and let the rain drop down. The sound of this was very calming and relaxing which the children enjoyed.
