MADD week in seedlings

This week in class we have been celebrating MADD week with the theme “all around the world” we have looked at different cultures and traditional celebrations from India, China, Mexico, Spain and Brazil.

Our tuff trays have been different each day to represent each country and their cultural celebrations.

On Monday our theme was India, we made Diva lamps out of salt dough and then painted and decorated them. We enjoyed dancing around the classroom to Bollywood music. We had a session with Shreya making traditional flower headbands.

On Tuesday our theme was China, we made Chinese lanterns and we decorated lucky wallets with chocolate coins inside.

On Wednesday our theme was Mexico, we made stained glass windows, and we decorated sugar skulls with mark making tools.

On Thursday our theme was Spain, we decorated Spanish flags and we have printed with paints and Oranges.

Today we are celebrating Brazil, we are going to be creating our own feathered parrots and we are going to be having a whole school carnival!

All the children have loved joining in with different activities in the hall, including music, drama, PE and flower making.

What an exciting week we have had in seedlings!
