Maple Tree RE

This week in Maple Tree, we've started looking at Buddha in our RE lesson.

We've learned 'The Story of Buddha' that Siddhartha Gautama was part of a royal family in Nepal who lived  in a palace, far away from sufferings such as old-age, illness and death. 
Once he left and went outside, he learned that everyone dies no matter where they live.

After realising this, he moved away from the palace, went to meditate under a bodhi tree And thought carefully about the past present and future.

Maple Tree have practiced their meditation, with belly breathing and rainbow relaxation.

We also said goodbye and good luck to our friend Eleanor on her last working day, as she leaves to have her baby!
