Oak Tree Class Blog 19/05/23

Hi everybody and welcome back to the Oak Tree Class blog.

First of all, a big thank you to all the parents and carers that came into the open morning on Tuesday.  It was lovely to see you and we hope you enjoyed helping to write rainbow poems with our pupils.

It has been another busy week in class, in science this week we have been learning about parts of a plant and what each part does, we have also been observing how seeds germinate and grow into plants by watching time lapse videos on the computer.

We have had lots of fun making sand sculptures in art based on the work of Anish Kapoor.  We have used moulds to make different shapes as well as carving sand to make faces.

We have been doing lots of tinkering in computing when learning about programming.  Some pupils were giving Blue-Bots instructions to move around courses, and some pupils have used the Osmo app to make a code for their own songs.
