Sixth Form Blog - Another busy week
Date: 25th May 2023 @ 3:53pm
It goes without saying - we have had ANOTHER busy week in Sixth Form. On Thursday last week we had a 'Wear It Green Day' for Mental Health Day. Thankyou to everyone for particpating, you all looked fabulous! We made green cupcakes, we had a treasure hunt with lots of clues to help us and then we were rewarded for our brilliant outfits. On Friday, some of our students went to a Music Festival at Ribby Hall and had lots of fun with students from other schools, we had been practising our ukeleles and we were really proud to show off what we had been learning.
This week, we have had a visit from some firefighters who gave us an interesting talk on fire safety. They taught us what to do to keep safe when a fire occurs. We learnt an important slogan 'Stop, Drop and Roll' and we put our knowledge into practice and used a blanket as a prop and then crawled underneath as low as we could to get to safety. We had lots of fun but learnt some important life skills at the same time.
We hope you have a restful half-term break and we will see you ready for the last Summer term!
